Barry Allen

Geelong/Warrnambool Consultant

Barry commenced with Apprenticeships Matter 3 years ago and bought with him a wealth of knowledge. Barry has over 25 years’ experience working within the apprenticeship and traineeship space, Group Training and recruitment industry. Barry has completed many qualifications, including Diploma of Management, Cert IV in Training and Assessment and more recently completing Mental Health first aid.


Joanne Stratford

Geelong Consultant

Joanne has been with Apprenticeships Matter for 11 years, holding various positions along the way. Joanne started out in our Administration team, moved into a Key Account Management role before joining the In-Training Support team out on the road. More recently, Joanne had a sea change and moved to Geelong where she now works closely with Barry to service the Geelong region. Joanne has completed a Diploma of Management and enjoys spending time with her family on her parent’s farm.


Mark Winzer

Wangaratta Consultant

Mark joined Apprenticeships Matter in 2015 after spending 6 years working in Employment Services and as an Apprenticeship Field Consultant. Mark brings over 25 years’ experience in various managerial and customer service roles and has a great understanding of the local Wangaratta region. Mark enjoys watching the AFL and loves to have a bet on the races.


Peter Mead

Ballarat Consultant

Peter is a Ballarat local who has over 25 years’ experience in all areas of local Manufacturing and understands the Ballarat region and local labour market. Peter has been with Apprenticeships Matter for 3 years, however before joining our team Peter spent 7 years’ years working with apprentices in areas of mentoring, support and compliance in all trades. Peter’s interests outside of work are football, cricket and horse racing!


Rob Walker

Warragul Consultant

Rob has worked in the VET industry for 27 years, the past 3 with Apprenticeships Matter. Rob’s previous roles revolved around Mentoring apprentices, facilitating training and recruiting apprentices. Rob also managed a team of 10 who were responsible for the management of 500 apprentices within the automotive industry. Rob has completed his Diploma of Human Resource Management, Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment as well as Certificate IV in Frontline Management.
